La Liga club Real Madrid officially announced that 20-year-old Spanish international center back Dean Huijsen, who plays for Bournemouth, will officially join the team after the end of the 2024/25 season.

Real Madrid activated its £50 million release clause and successfully introduced this highly-anticipated young defensive star from Bournemouth. Born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Huissen grew up in the Malaga youth training system in Spain and moved to Juventus in 2021.

During this period, Huissen not only made his first-team debut against AC Milan, but was also loaned to Roma to gain game experience. Last summer, he joined Bournemouth from Juventus and quickly became an indispensable member of the team.

Under the leadership of Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola, Huissen helped Bournemouth create the best record in Premier League history. This season, he has scored key goals against opponents including Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal. He has made 30 appearances in the Premier League and has received widespread attention for his stable defense and his ability to stand up at critical moments.
