US reporter: Former Kings center Alex Len is about to bid farewell to the NBA and sign a multi-year contract with Real Madrid

According to NBA reporter Michael Scotto on Tuesday, Ukrainian center Alex Len has decided to sign a multi-year contract with Real Madrid. The contract includes a special clause that allows Len to return to the NBA next season.

Ten days before choosing to go overseas, Ryan was officially waived by the New York Knicks. Although he had previously signed a non-guaranteed training camp contract with the Knicks, he ultimately failed to get a chance to stay with the team.

The 32-year-old Ryan, the fifth overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft, has played 690 regular-season games for the Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards and Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 6.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 0.9 blocks per game.

Although Ryan is no longer at his peak, as an experienced center, he is expected to enhance Real Madrid's inside strength: last season, Ryan played 46 games for the Kings and Lakers respectively, averaging 1.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 8.3 minutes per game.
