Rob Edwards has urged his Wolves players to replicate their away form at home, after securing a point in their final match of 2025 with a draw against Manchester United. Wolves will kick off the 2026 season at home against West Ham United on Saturday. Edwards reminded his players to remain humble, emphasizing that they must show the same level of performance in front of their home fans if they want to turn around their current slump.  

After the match, Rob Edwards said, "We have to stay calm. It feels good to get a point, but it's just a draw. We can't celebrate too much because of the draw; we need to face the current situation. Going forward, we must stay grounded, keep working hard, and believe in what we're doing."  

"The challenge now is that we must win at home, but at the same time we must recognize our current situation, so this is still progress. The team's performance continues to improve, which everyone can see and feel. It's gratifying to be able to gain something from this game, which is good news for the fans, and it's something the team deserves. I think the team could have performed even better if the game had been played on another night."  

“No matter how the game goes against Manchester United, they always create chances, but I think we missed some better scoring opportunities. We almost gave them a goal, although their goal was disallowed for offside, but we did create a few good chances. However, overall, it was good and a positive factor in the game. We created chances and our overall performance was relatively solid.”  

"In the first half, we played some very exciting football. In the second half, the team showed considerable counter-attacking threat, so we showed a good side of the team tonight. However, it's just one game, and we only got one point. It was a good game, and it's an improvement for the team."  

“I think we played very well in the second half of the previous game against Liverpool, and we played very well throughout the game tonight as well. We must maintain this form. We know there are high expectations, and the atmosphere at home can sometimes be tense, but we must eliminate distractions and play as well as we do away."
