Serie A club Roma announced that Inter Milan has officially bought out Nikola Zalewski, turning him from a loan to a permanent player.

Zalewski joined Inter Milan on loan from Roma on February 1, 2025, with the option to buy out after the season. The loan fee is reportedly €600,000 and the buyout amount is €6.5 million.

Just the second day after joining the team, Zalewski made his debut in a heavyweight match. In the Milan derby, he came on as a substitute in the 76th minute and assisted De Vrij to equalize the score in stoppage time, making a brilliant debut for his new club.

The 21-year-old Polish international quickly demonstrated his flexibility in multiple positions. In the tactical system of Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi, Zalewski is not only competent as a left wingback and a right wingback, but has also been arranged as an attacking midfielder.
