According to a report by ESPN's Shams Charania on Friday, the Cleveland Cavaliers have reached a two-way contract agreement with Chris Livingston.
The 22-year-old Livingston primarily plays small forward and was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round, 58th overall pick, in 2023. Over the past two seasons, he has played 42 regular-season games for the Bucks as a rotation player, averaging 1.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.2 assists per game, with a 40.8% field goal percentage, but only 1-for-13 from three-point range.
Livingston also played for the Bucks' affiliate team, the Wisconsin Bucks, in the G League. Last season, he averaged 18.1 points per game in the G League with a field goal percentage of 63%.
However, Livingston was officially waived by the Bucks this summer. The Bucks then transferred his roster spot to 24-year-old Alex Antetokounmpo, the youngest of Giannis Antetokounmpo's five brothers.
This acquisition aims to bolster the Cavaliers' frontcourt depth in case DeAndre Hunter or Dean Wade are unavailable. If neither player is injured, Livingston is expected to spend most of his time with the Cavaliers' affiliate, the Cleveland Charge.
