TA: Due to strained relations with Alonso, Real Madrid striker Vinicius is not considering renewing his contract at the moment.

Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior has made it clear that he does not wish to renew his contract due to strained relations with manager Xabi Alonso. This news was revealed on Monday by TA Football journalist Mario Corteganer, and Real Madrid has not yet responded.

According to Cortegaard, Vinicius made his refusal to renew his contract during a meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez at the end of last month. He told Florentino frankly that, given the increasingly strained relationship with Alonso, renewing his contract was not the best option at the moment.

In addition, Vinicius also apologized to Florentino for his inappropriate behavior in El Clásico. He lost his temper after being substituted by Alonso in the 72nd minute, storming off the field and shouting, "Always substituting me! I want to leave! I'd better leave! I'm leaving!"

All indications suggest that Vinicius's move was not a negotiating tactic. It is understood that the conflict between the two has been brewing for some time, dating back to Real Madrid's 0-4 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup semi-final on July 9th: in that match, Alonso originally planned to rest Vinicius, but Trent Alexander-Arnold's injury forced him to adjust his tactics. Vinicius ultimately started as a right winger, rather than his preferred left wing position.

This season, Vinicius has become increasingly dissatisfied with Alonso's tactical arrangements. So far, he has made 17 appearances for Real Madrid, playing the full 90 minutes only five times. Despite this, he has still contributed five goals and four assists for Real Madrid.

Besides the tensions with Alonso, economic factors are also one of the reasons Vinicius refused to renew his contract. His current contract with Real Madrid runs until June 30, 2027, and renewal negotiations between the two sides have currently stalled.

According to Corteganer, Real Madrid offered a contract extension in January with a net annual salary of approximately €20 million, but it was not accepted. Vinicius's team subsequently demanded a total annual salary of up to €30 million from Real Madrid, including base salary, performance bonuses, and contract extension bonuses.

For Real Madrid, the demands from Vinicius's team are unprecedented in the club's history. Coupled with his strained relationship with Alonso, there is considerable concern within the club about Vinicius's future prospects.

Regardless, Real Madrid still hopes that Alonso and Vinicius can overcome their differences. They hope that their relationship will gradually improve as the team's overall performance and Vinicius's individual form improve, thus creating conditions for reopening contract renewal negotiations.
