Como officially announced on Tuesday that it has loaned AC Milan striker Alvaro Morata until the end of the 2025/26 season. Morata will wear the No. 7 jersey at Como and the contract includes a buyout clause of 8 to 10 million euros.

Morata joined Como after a recent loan spell with Galatasaray. Since February of this year, he has played 16 games for Galatasaray, scoring seven goals and providing three assists as they won the Turkish Super League and Turkish Cup titles.

Regarding Morata's arrival, Como coach Cesc Fabregas commented: "I have known Alvaro for many years and have always admired his style of play and the way he handles things. He is a smart striker who always stands up at crucial moments, and he is also a teammate who can inspire the morale of the entire team. We are very happy that he has joined Como."

The 32-year-old Morata, who graduated from the youth academy at Atlético Madrid, Getafe, and Real Madrid, made his La Liga debut for Real Madrid on December 12, 2010. He subsequently played for Juventus, Chelsea, Atlético Madrid, and AC Milan, making 546 appearances, contributing 190 goals and 76 assists. He also won two Champions League titles, one Club World Cup, two La Liga titles, one UEFA Super Cup, two Copa del Rey titles, two Serie A titles, three Coppa Italia titles, one Italian Super Cup, one UEFA Europa League title, and one FA Cup.

After completing the signing, Morata said: "I am very happy to join Como. When I played against them last year, I was able to get to know the team and their ambitious project in depth. I promise the fans and the club that I will give my all in every training session and every game. I can't wait to put on the Como jersey."
