September 30th , according to NBA reporter Michael Scotto, the team has hired three staff members who have worked with General Manager Scott Perry in the New York Knicks to further improve the front-office structure.

Fred Cofield will serve as director of professional player personnel, responsible for lineup analysis and free agent market strategy; Tom Perry will serve as vice president of data science and planning, providing long-term strategic support for the team; and John Halas will become director of college scouting, focusing on the draft and young player evaluation.

In May of this year , the team officially appointed Doug Christie as full-time head coach. Now that the coaching staff is stable, the Kings will turn their focus to upgrading scouting and management to improve overall competitiveness.

The Kings originally had only one second-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. They first traded for the rights to guard Nick Clifford and then selected French center Maxime Reynaud with the 42nd pick . The addition of rookies and veterans like Dennis Schroder and Dario Saric strengthened the roster.

Currently, the Kings' core roster still revolves around Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Keegan Murray. The new management and scouting team will help the team discover potential and optimize its roster configuration in the future.
