In the last focus match of the 2025 Club World Cup round of 16, Dortmund relied on Girasi's two goals to finally beat Monterrey 2-1 and successfully advanced to the quarterfinals.

Four minutes into the game, Dortmund attacked with a corner kick, but it was unable to pose a threat. In the 11th minute, Monterrey midfielder Nelson Deosa received a pass from his teammate outside the penalty area and took a long shot, but the ball was caught by Dortmund goalkeeper Kerber.

In the end, Dortmund eliminated Monterrey 2-1 and successfully advanced to the quarterfinals.
