The second round of the 2025/26 Premier League season staged another focus match. Arsenal, at the Emirates Stadium, relied on goals from Timberwolves, Saka and Džekeres to defeat newly promoted Leeds United 5-0.

Eight minutes into the match, Arsenal created an attacking opportunity. Ødegaard received a pass from Saka near the edge of the penalty area, adjusted his steps, and then took a long shot, but the ball hit the side netting. In the 16th minute, Leeds United made a pass error, and Džekeres fell to the ground in the penalty area and shot wide.

In the 20th minute, Leeds United took a corner kick, and Struijk headed the ball, but the ball was blocked by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya. In the 34th minute, Rice took a corner kick, and Timber headed the ball into the goal, helping Arsenal take the lead 1-0. In the 38th minute, Arsenal captain Odegaard was replaced by Nwaneri due to injury.

In the first half stoppage time, Timber passed the ball directly into the penalty area. Saka seized the opportunity and shot the ball into the goal, helping Arsenal continue to lead Leeds United 2-0.

Timber scored twice

In the 48th minute of the second half, Calafiori passed the ball to Džekeres, who then shot low from the penalty area past the defense, putting Arsenal at 3-0. In the 53rd minute, Saka was injured and was replaced by Trossard after failing to continue.

In the 56th minute, Rice took a corner kick, and Timber's header was blocked. Timber then scored with a follow-up shot, helping Arsenal extend their lead to 4-0. In the 74th minute, Arsenal midfielder Doman, who came on as a substitute, dribbled the ball to the top of the penalty area and took a long shot, but the ball went directly over the goal.

In the 81st minute, Arsenal's attack from the penalty area was cleared, and Dawman's subsequent volley went wide. In the second half's stoppage time, Dawman was brought down by an opposing player, prompting the referee to award a penalty. Džekeres then converted the penalty, making it 5-0 for Arsenal.

In the end, Arsenal defeated Leeds United 5-0 at home.
