Rob Edwards pointed out that by reviewing the team's excellent performance against Aston Villa, he identified the shortcomings that Wolves showed in their previous match against Nottingham Forest. Despite Wolves' impressive performance at Villa Park last week, they failed to carry that momentum to Molineux Stadium, ultimately losing to Nottingham Forest.  

The head coach frankly expressed his views after the match, and maintained his assessment of the game at the subsequent press conference. Although the players responded positively to his opinions, he knew that what happened at the Molineux Stadium was the key.  

Rob Edwards said: "There are definitely one or two players in the team who are tired, which is a normal reaction after playing two games in three days. Everyone recovered and trained on Thursday and is in good condition. Although the result is disappointing, we were able to review the game and identify areas for improvement. Therefore, when I left the meeting room, my mind was very clear and I was better able to move on to the next steps."  

“We reviewed some segments of Wednesday’s game and compared them with Sunday’s performance, and the results showed a clear difference between the two games. Some of the opportunities we had in the game, or the periods when we controlled the tempo, mainly came from us pressing forward more aggressively, taking risks, and continuing to attack, but we still didn’t do enough in these aspects.”  

"After reviewing the game footage, my feelings were largely the same as on Wednesday night. Ultimately, if we're destined to lose, how do we want to lose? I asked the players that question, and some of their responses were commendable. We don't want to lose in that way again, and the team must make changes."  

“What disappointed me most was that the team played at a very high level on Sunday. But just three days later, our performance was completely different. This inconsistency may be one of the reasons for our current situation. Therefore, we must work hard to regain our consistent performance. The players have realized this, and I believe they are even clearer about it after the meeting.”  

"The key is that we must maintain a consistent approach in every detail of our daily lives. Whether on or off the field, or in any aspect of training, we must hold ourselves to the standards of a winner. Currently, we still need to improve in some areas, such as pre-training preparation; there is room for improvement. These are the messages we convey to the players, and they agree with them."  

"If the current situation doesn't improve, we'll have to make adjustments, whether internally or during the January transfer window. Changes could happen at any time. We need to be more consistent; we can't play well one day and be completely different the next. The team must maintain a consistent performance."  

"Given our current situation, it's undeniable that all eyes are on us. We must respond with victory, it's that simple. In this level of competition, global attention and scrutiny are everywhere, so we must learn to adapt and handle it calmly."
