Arsenal youth midfielder Louie Copley has officially signed his first professional contract, opening a new chapter in his career.

For the 18-year-old player, this is the most meaningful moment so far. Copley said in an interview after signing: "This is a very special day. It is even better to have my family to celebrate with me."

"I have been working hard for today since I was a child, and my family has always supported me silently behind the scenes. When I am unhappy or in a low state, they are always the first to comfort me. When I perform poorly in a game, they never blame me, but encourage me to cheer up again. Their company is an important reason why I can persist until today."

Copley joined Arsenal's youth training system at the U13 age group, completed the growth stage at Hale End, and completed a two-year apprenticeship. Now he has officially entered the ranks of professional players.

When talking about his highlight memories on the field, Copley immediately thought of the goal he scored at the Emirates Stadium last year. Copley said: "It was the FA Youth Cup match. I was playing on the right wing and I got the ball and scored to help the team equalize."

"I remember that goal very clearly, not just the goal, but the fact that I scored it on such a big stage like the Emirates Stadium. It was such an exciting feeling."

Looking to the future, Copley has a clear goal: "I want to gain a foothold in the U21, but this is not the end. I hope to realize my dream of playing for the first team this year. This is the direction I will work towards next."

This professional contract is a recognition of Copley's efforts and also marks that he will face higher levels of challenges and expectations.
