James Garner hailed his side's performance in the win over Nottingham Forest as Everton's best team performance so far this season. It was an impressive win for David Moyes, who have also won against Brighton and Crystal Palace since the manager took over.
Since David Moyes' second spell in charge of Everton, only five teams have more Premier League points than his side's 20. James Garner says continued good form is bringing confidence to the team.
James Garner said: "I think this was probably our best performance of the season, both in possession and without the ball. Nottingham Forest played very well at home and we knew we had a lot of possession but the key was how we dealt with their counterattacks.
"Nottingham Forest are third in the Premier League table and they are very strong. But from the first minute of the game, we played very well in the game and we definitely deserved the victory."
"This win gives us a lot of confidence and shows our level of quality. David Moyes also instilled confidence in us after the game."
James Garner was recalled to the starting XI after starting on the bench as Everton drew 1-1 with Arsenal.
James Garner also said: "I am very happy to be back with the team. Although I am a little disappointed that I didn't play in the team last week, I am very happy that I still have the opportunity to start for this club. I want to show my best side and I think I performed well in this game."
"I feel like I've found my rhythm. Since I came here, it's been up and down. I've had a lot of injuries, even when I was playing, I was always playing with minor injuries. But now I'm finally pain-free. I hope I can continue like this because I want the team to reach a higher level.
