Burnley officially completes the signing of Manchester City's England international right-back Kyle Walker..

Burnley announced on its official website on Saturday that the club has signed England international right-back Kyle Walker from Manchester City.


According to Burnley's official statement, Walker has signed on a short-term two-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2027.


After completing his joining procedures, Walker who was intervieweed by the Burnley official website for the first time, said: "I am very happy to be here. When I talked to Scott (Parker - manager) and learned about his plans for next season, I did not hesitate to seize this opportunity. He has done a great job here and led the club back to the Premier League with 100 points. Now, we look forward to returning to the greatest league in the world together."


"Burnley performed well last season and has an excellent defensive record. I can't wait to join this exciting team and contribute my experience and strength to the team."


According to the news brought by The Athletic's resident renowned English transfer journalist David Ornstein, Burnley paid Manchester City a total transfer fee of £5 million to sign Walker.


With this transfer, it also means that his 8-year Cityzens career has come to an end.


About Kyle Walker


The 35-year-old Walker was born in Sheffield, England on May 28, 1990. He is 1.83 meters tall and primarily plays as a right back. He can also play as a center back. He has dual British and Jamaican citizenship.


Walker joined Sheffield United's youth academy at the age of 7. After being promoted in the summer of 2008, he was loaned-out to Northampton Town for 1 month in November of the same year.


After returning to the club after his loan spell, Walker completed his Sheffield United first-team debut in an English FA Cup match in January of the following year. During this spell, he also reached the final of the EFL Championship promotion play-offs final with the club.


In July 2009, Walker joined Tottenham Hotspur for £4.5 million, but was immediately loaned back to Sheffield United for 1 year.


From 2010 to June of the following year, Walker was loaned-out to Queens Park Rangers and Aston Villa.


After returning from his loan spell in the summer of 2011, Walker officially became a key player in Spurs' first-team.


During the six-year spell with Spurs, Walker reached the English League Cup final with the club once.


In July 2017, Walker joined Manchester City for £50 million, making him one of the most expensive right-backs in football history.


During his eight-year spell with the Cityzens, Walker played 319 times for Manchester City in all competitions, scored 6 goals, assisted 23 times, and won the Premier League 6 times, the English FA Cup 4 times, the Carabao Cup 2 times, the English Community Shield 1 time, the Champions League 1 time, the UEFA Super Cup 1 time and the FIFA World Club Cup 1 time with the club.


In January this year, Walker was loaned-out to AC Milan.


During his loan spell at AC Milan, Walker played 18 times for the Serie A giants in all competitions, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists.
