Valencia head coach Carlos Corberán spoke to the media after their 2-2 draw with Real Espanyol to review the match.  

Carlos Corberán said: "We played better than Real Espanyol in the first half. We withstood the opponent's pressure and increased the tempo of the game. Our defense was aggressive, but towards the end of the first half, the opponent did put a lot of pressure on us and created a lot of chances."  

"We then adjusted our defensive strategy and responded quickly after the opponent's goal to take the lead, which made me very satisfied. The team played very proactively, which put a certain amount of pressure on our defense. In the final stages of the game, we seized the opportunity to counterattack. I saw the team's tenacity and ability to withstand pressure, and we overcame many difficulties. Although we created many opportunities, we conceded a goal in the final moments, which was regrettable."  

"From the first minute to the last second of the game, every detail is crucial. You can never foresee which action will change the course of the game, and every action cannot be ignored. For me, after the game, I can review the film, analyze and correct every detail, but fouls are inevitable."  

"Although the foul was controversial, we still have to take responsibility for conceding a goal from a set piece. Foul or not, we have to defend these crucial moments better. We conceded two goals from set pieces today and must be as proactive in defence as we are in attack. We failed to effectively resolve those defensive actions, which could have won us all three points."  

"After achieving good results, we must maintain our focus and perseverance, especially in crucial away games. The challenges away from home are always greater, the team will not give up the competition, and we need to keep improving ourselves. The three points are right in front of us, and this should be our motivation. Whether at home or away, we must continue to work hard and move forward."  

"I think the defense needed adjustments. We thought we were too high up the pitch, so we did. Although we did a good job defending the height, we weren't able to effectively block the opponent's first and second shots. Often, when the opponent broke through, we lost track of the space behind us. Although the defense adjusted its position, we missed the opportunity to win all the points in the crucial moments of the battle for the ball."
