Freiburg issued a statement on Tuesday, announcing the signing of Japanese attacker Yuto Suzuki from Brondby. As usual, the club did not disclose the length of the contract and specific details.

According to the German football magazine "Kicker", the transfer fee of Suzuki Yuito is 7 million to 8 million euros. He will wear the No. 14 jersey in Freiburg.

Regarding the joining of Suzuki Yuito, Freiburg sports director Jochen Sell commented: "Yuito has both the ability to score and the ability to connect with his teammates well. His speed, flexibility and excellent footwork will inject more vitality into our offense."

"We have worked long and hard to bring Weiren here and are very happy about his arrival. Like many players from other leagues, he will have to adapt to the higher intensity and unique style of the Bundesliga."

The 23-year-old Suzuki Yuito mainly plays as a front midfielder, but can also play as a center forward, right winger, etc. He started his professional career at Shimizu S-Pulse in 2020 and played for Strasbourg on loan for half a season in January 2023.

In August 2023, Suzuki Yuito transferred to the Danish powerhouse Brondby for 600,000 euros. To date, he has made 69 appearances for Brondby, scoring 23 goals and providing 15 assists.
