In an earlier interview, 31-year-old Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Alex Caruso talked about how he enjoys playing the role of a senior player in the team and likes to share his personal experience with young players in the team.

In the 7th round of the 2024/25 NBA playoffs, the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Indiana Pacers 103-91 and won the championship with the help of Gilgeous-Alexander, Jaylen Williams and Chet Holmgren.

It is worth mentioning that Alex Caruso won the first NBA championship of his career with the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

In the Finals against the Indiana Pacers, Alex Caruso averaged 10.1 points per game, shot 40.0% from 3-point range, and contributed many key points for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the series.

Alex Caruso said in an interview, "When I participated in the playoffs for the first time, I was still groping, but fortunately, I was surrounded by a group of top players and coaching staff, which made it easier for me to adapt. This time, I was the one who provided experience, encouragement and guidance to my teammates through the playoffs. I want to praise these young people. They performed too well and were very calm."

"It's a crazy experience, winning it for the second time and I know the joy of being the champion after the final whistle. This time we can make that crucial run in front of the fans and it will resonate with everyone. It was also exciting back then, but there were only about 100 spectators on site, and this time we can lift the trophy at home, which feels more special."

Alex Caruso said, "For me, the biggest difference between these two championships is where I am in my career. When I won the first championship, I was surrounded by some top players with qualifications, and I was the novice who was learning and adapting. Five or six years later, now I am the one who knows the answers and tries to share these experiences with those players who come here for the first time."

When talking about the future, Alex Caruso shared, "The future is in front of us, and what we can achieve next depends on ourselves. Winning the championship in the first year may be faster than expected by the outside world, and it has also accelerated everyone's expectations of this team. But I think from now on, new expectations will also come with it, and the challenges we face will be different."
