Alexander Blessing can envision a long-term future at St. Pauli. "I feel very comfortable at St. Pauli and I know what I have here," he told Bild on Wednesday.

Alexander Blessing, 51, has been a coach since 2012 and is considered one of the best young coaches in Germany. He initially served as the U17 and U19 coach at RB Leipzig, and then coached Royal Ostend, Genoa and Union Saint-Giroux.

In July 2024, Bresin succeeded Fabian Hürzeler as the head coach of St. Pauli. Since taking office, he has led St. Pauli in 32 Bundesliga games and 2 German Cups, with a total record of 9 wins, 7 draws and 18 losses. St. Pauli is currently ranked 14th in the Bundesliga standings, 6 points ahead of the relegation zone.

Blessing's current contract with St. Pauli will last until 2027, but his recent coaching performance has attracted the attention of many clubs such as Wolfsburg. In this regard, Blessing told Bild: "I have never signed with any club for economic reasons. For me, the decisive factor is always the project itself and the way the club is managed. When we were in trouble, sports director Andreas Bornemann and chairman Oke Gottlich always remained calm. It is a great pleasure to work with them, and it also makes me more motivated to go all out."

He then added: "I have no intention of talking about whether to leave the team. I have put all my energy into the next two games."
