Arsenal defeated Crystal Palace 1-0 in the ninth round of the 2025/26 Premier League season, thanks to a goal from Eze. Arsenal defender Timber said all players played their roles well and expressed his hope to achieve great things with the team this season.
In the 38th minute of the game, Rice took a free kick, Gabriel headed the ball, and then Eze volleyed the ball into the goal in the penalty area, helping Arsenal to open the scoring with a 1-0 lead.
In the end, Arsenal beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at home. After winning four consecutive games, Arsenal currently ranks first in the standings with 22 points.
"Everyone is playing their part, which is a great thing and a great foundation," said the 24-year-old Timber. "From that perspective, we just need to keep improving and stay consistent in everything we do, and then hopefully, throughout the season, we can create something great."
“Performances like this bring confidence and show that we are doing very well. If we can keep clean sheets for several games in a row, I think it also shows the consistency of the team. We have to continue this momentum game by game, keep improving, see what we can do better, and at the same time take this feeling and confidence and face the next game with the same mentality.”
Timber pointed out, "This is a tough game. We knew it would not be easy before the game, and there are no easy games in the Premier League. Crystal Palace has been in good form recently and they have once again proved that they are a difficult team to deal with. So we have to pay tribute to them, but we also have to praise ourselves."
"I thought we played well. It was a difficult game but we found a way to win and that's the most important thing. Another clean sheet is great for us and it brings confidence. It's a good foundation to build on and we can continue to improve in this area."
On the other hand, Arsenal will host Brighton at home in the English League Cup, and will travel to face Burnley in the next round of the Premier League.
Timber added: "I think it's important to stay calm and not get too excited. We're playing well but it's still early in the season and we have to keep improving game by game."
