Chelsea lost 2-1 to Legia Warsaw, but still advanced with a 4-2 aggregate score and booked a match against Swedish side Djurgardens.  

Coach Enzo Maresca admitted that they were very disappointed with the result, but he was happy that the team could avoid injury problems and advance to the UEFA League semi-finals. Enzo Maresca made his evaluation of the game after the game.  

Enzo Maresca said: "We are not happy with the result. After what happened in the first leg, we tried to control the result and rotate the players to avoid injuries because we have important games coming up.  

“We are in the semi-finals and we have been working hard to adjust the squad after the first leg. In conclusion, although we are disappointed with the result, the good news is that we can rotate players and we did not suffer any injury problems, which is our main goal.”  

"Because we often have injuries at key moments during the season, but now fortunately we don't have any injury problems."  

The two players who retained their starting places for Chelsea were Nicolajson and Cole Palmer, and Enzo Maresca explained why they were once again selected shortly before the game against Fulham.  

Enzo Maresca said: "Nicolas Jaxon has been out for more than two months, so he was put on the field to recover a little bit."  

"Cole Palmer had a bit of an issue before the international break so the plan is to play him for 45 minutes or an hour. That's to get them up to speed so they can perform better in the next game."  

"The main reason we play them is to build up their fitness and if they can score goals it will be a big motivation for them. Hopefully Cole Palmer and Nicolaj Jacson can start scoring goals soon because they are so important to the team."
