Fabrizio Romano refute rumours claiming that Manchester United are willing to spend hundreds of millions to acquire Bayern Munich stars Aleksandar Pavlović and Michael Olise to replace Bruno Fernandes..

Sky Sportsrenowned Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, has refuted online rumours claiming that Manchester United are willing to spend hundreds of millions to acquire Bayern Munich stars Aleksandar Pavlović and Michael Olise to replace its captain Bruno Fernandes in his paid column on Wednesday.

In his column, Romano stated that he had never heard of Manchester United is interested in signing Pavlović and had no idea where the rumour originated from.

He said that not only did Manchester United had never intended to attempt to acquire Pavlović for €100 million, but Bayern's management also had no intention of accepting an offer for the player, as Pavlović has always been considered a key player in Bayern Munich's plans and is not for sale.

He also reiterated his denial of rumours claiming that Olise's contract has a release clause of €60 million to €100 million and that Manchester United is in a "leading position" in the player's transfer battle.

Romano angrily denounced the rumours, stating that Bayern's sporting director, Max Eberl, had recently just denied the rumours through Sky Sports Germany. Clearly, someone had simply ignored the news or deliberately disregarded it, intentionally rehashing the same fake news that had already been refuted hundreds of times.

Finally, Romano also angrily stated that he and Bruno Fernandes himself had already denied rumours claiming that the player plans to transfer to the Saudi Pro League in the near future, so he was truly disgusted by those who were rehashing this fake rumour.

Bruno Fernandes' contract does indeed contain a £56 million release clause, but it can only be triggered if the player wishes to transfer.

Furthermore, this release clause only applies to clubs outside the Premier League, so any rumours claiming that other top clubs in the league might intend to trigger it are untrue.

He also reiterated his criticism of those who spread rumours under the pretense that "Cristiano Ronaldo demanded Fernandes join Al-Nassr," calling it utterly ridiculous.

In fact, no matter how much verification is done, the source of these two rumours could not be found on the internet, specifically which inferior online media outlet was the one began spreading it. All that is known is that these rumours have been circulating wildly on X (Twitter) recently, and the Premier League giants are the club these rumour-mongers use to link Pavlović, Olise, and Fernandes' names with!

In July 2021, Olise joined Crystal Palace for £8.37 million, and over the years, he, along with Eberechi Eze and former teammate Wilfried Zaha, was considered one of the Eagles' best attacking players.
