According to ESPN's Shams Charania on Saturday, the Philadelphia 76ers plan to sign Charles Brazil to a ten-day contract.
The 25-year-old Brazilian is a 2.08-meter tall, 104-kilogram center who entered the NBA in 2021 as the 53rd overall pick in the second round. So far this season, he has played 10 games for the Warriors' G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, averaging 18.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.4 blocks in 27.8 minutes per game, with a 58.4% field goal percentage and a 40.0% three-point percentage.
Besides the Santa Cruz Warriors, Brazil also played in the G League with the Delaware Blue Jackets and the Austin Spurs. Official data shows that he played 36 games in the G League, averaging 18.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 2.5 blocks per game, with a field goal percentage of 63.6% and a three-point percentage of 36.2%.
However, Brazil is not without NBA experience. He played for the Philadelphia 76ers, San Antonio Spurs, and Memphis Grizzlies, appearing in a total of 115 regular season games. He averaged 4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 11.2 minutes per game, with a field goal percentage of 62.5% and a three-point percentage of 23.1%.
