Jurgen Strand-Larsen officially becomes permanent Wolves player

Jurgen Strand-Larsen joined Wolves on loan from Celta Vigo last season and has now officially joined the team. The striker performed well in his Premier League debut and will stay at Molineux Stadium until 2029, with a clause in his contract automatically converting the loan to a permanent transfer.

Over the past year, the player has performed very well for the Golden and Black Army, helping Vitor Pereira lead the team to score 14 goals in the top league.

Since scoring in the first home game of Wolves in the 2024-25 season, Jurgen Strand Larsen has become an indispensable player in Pereira's team. With 14 goals in his Premier League debut season, he broke Raul Jimenez's record of 13 goals in the 2018-19 season and became the player with the most goals in his debut in the history of Wolves.

The 25-year-old scored numerous goals in his first season at Wolves, helping the team win several memorable Premier League victories. He also became the first player in Wolves' history to score in four consecutive Premier League wins, helping the team to a historic sixth consecutive victory.

Jurgen Strand-Larsen's excellent form continued in the spring and continued into April with a strong performance by Vitor Pereira's team. For this performance, the striker won the SUDU Player of the Month award.

Jurgen Strand-Larsen said: "My overall performance in my first Premier League season was satisfactory and I am proud of it. I adapted to the new environment faster than in the past and took the crucial first step. Before, every time I moved to a new country, I needed more time to integrate and find the feeling of scoring goals."

"As a striker, the team needs me to score goals and receive crosses. I scored 14 goals this season, and even after returning from injuries and fluctuations in form, I think the overall performance is satisfactory."

"Since Vitor Pereira and his coaching staff arrived, I have scored eight goals, including seven in eight games. It was a good end to the season and as a team we are looking forward to making further progress next season."

After spending the summer with the Norwegian national team, Jørgen Strand-Larsen has been able to enjoy some valuable down time with his family and friends before returning to Compton Park to begin training later this month.

However, his future at Molineux has now been confirmed for another four years and with former Celta team-mate and good friend Fer López joining Vitor Pereira's squad, the striker is looking forward to returning to the pitch next season and making a bigger breakthrough.

Jurgen Strand-Larsen continued: “Hopefully everyone can get back to their best, put their training shoes back on and be ready for pre-season.”

“It has been really beneficial to be able to spend pre-season training with Vitor Pereira, the coaching staff, the staff and my teammates. It has given us more opportunities to address issues that we were unable to complete during the season and the coaches have been able to spend more time with us.”

"We showed last season that we can beat any opponent and are a very difficult team to play against, which is exactly what we are aiming for. We certainly hope to do that again next year and build on that."
