Roma officially announced on Saturday that they have signed Genoa right winger Lorenzo Venturino on a half-season loan. Venturino will wear the number 20 jersey for Roma, and the contract includes a €7 million buy-out clause.
As part of this deal, Roma have loaned 23-year-old attacker Tommaso Baldanzi to Genoa. Baldanzi's loan also runs until the end of the season, with a buy-out clause of €10 million.
The 19-year-old Venturino came through Genoa's youth academy and will make his Serie A debut for the first team on January 17, 2025. To date, he has made 11 appearances for Genoa, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
After signing the contract, Venturino could not hide his joy: "I am deeply honored and excited to join Roma. Rome is an important city with beautiful stadiums and a glorious history. I will only regard this experience as an opportunity to learn and improve myself."
"This is a new phase, and I need to fully commit to it. I'm no longer a child, and this will only be a wonderful experience."
“I am a fast player who excels in tight spaces. My strengths are dribbling, speed, and shooting. I need to improve my defensive abilities and be more efficient in the attacking third.”
"I can't wait to meet the fans at the stadium and play in a Roma jersey. Come on Roma!"
