West Ham United defeated Bournemouth 2-0 in Atlanta, Georgia, concluding their Premier League summer series. Jarrod Bowen stated that the team has reached an ideal level in terms of both performance and overall condition.  

The West Ham captain provided an assist for his strike partner, Nicklas Fellkrug, in the 24th minute, who broke the deadlock. He also scored the second-half winner to secure a victory over Bournemouth. With Jarrod Bowen and Nicklas Fellkrug each scoring in this match, both players finished the summer series with two goals in three games.  

Although the players have established a good friendship during training camp, Jarrod Bowen firmly believes that the tacit understanding formed during the preseason will be translated into tangible performance and results on the court.  

Jarrod Bowen said: "One of our focuses in this preseason is to improve the team atmosphere, and I think everyone can already see the positive effects of this change. The changes can be seen in training, for example, in some relay games, everyone is smiling."  

"This atmosphere is contagious. It promotes more communication between players and brings together players who don't interact often. This is exactly the team culture we want to see."  

"Travelling long distances is usually tiring, especially towards the end of a trip. But this summer, both in Germany and the United States, the team maintained their form and spirit. This is a positive sign that everyone is not only training hard but also enjoying being with each other."  

"Ultimately, we want the players to be able to express themselves authentically in training and perform at their best, while also remaining comfortable and relaxed. After all, the pressure of intense matches is on every weekend, and that's exactly what the coaching staff and I, as captain, look forward to."  

"Some might think it sounds a bit childish, but I believe this positive atmosphere is also clearly visible on the court. It represents the brotherhood and cooperation within the team, and means that everyone knows that they are fighting side by side with their teammates."  

Jarrod Bowen continued: “My role now is slightly different to what I’m used to, but I’m really enjoying the change. It’s not a completely new position, but having played out wide for most of my career, playing as a central striker in a two-man system does bring a bit of a difference.”  

"It's been really beneficial for me to be able to play consistently in that position, and I feel like I'm working really well with Fuller. We've both scored goals and are in good form, so that's a satisfying feeling."  

"This has been a very meaningful journey. We have achieved a lot both in terms of competition and off-field communication. I think the team is in very good shape now. We are looking forward to the game against Lille next weekend and then the Premier League will start soon. The whole team is very much looking forward to the start of the new season. The next few weeks are bound to be exciting and we are ready."
