West Ham United goalkeeper Mas Hermansen says the team remains united after a hard-fought point against Manchester City, but they will not be complacent. The point at the London Stadium was significant, allowing West Ham to escape the Premier League relegation zone for the first time since November.  

In the match against Manchester City, Mas Hermansen made five crucial saves, helping his team secure a valuable point. He stated that the entire team is united, and as the Premier League season enters its final stretch, the players' individual performances on the pitch are continuously improving.  

He said: "It was a very tough game, both mentally and physically challenging. We ran a lot on the pitch because Manchester City have a very strong ball control. They always managed to find the space we left, but the players still performed very well."  

“We discussed this at halftime. Although the opponent had possession for a long time, they didn’t really break through our defense. So the key is to continue to block their attacking space, and I think we did that very well.”  

“Of course, each of their players has their own strengths. Sometimes they try to break through on the wings, but our defense is very solid, and it’s great to be able to participate in those situations. I think this is consistent with what I mentioned earlier about their excellent ball control. It’s very difficult to come back from behind, and Manchester City is good at taking advantage of their lead. Dinos’ goal was very crucial for us.”  

“I have to be adaptable during the game, and I’m happy with my performance, especially in dealing with Rajan Cherki’s shots, where I made some great saves. I think the team’s biggest improvement is in teamwork and consistency in all aspects.”  

"Of course, every player on the team is working hard to improve, but there is one thing that is moving in the right direction. I think, especially in this aspect, we have been working together and making steady progress. In addition, our ability to handle individual situations in games has also improved significantly, which I think is one of the areas where we have made the most progress."  

Mas Hermansen praised the defenders in front of him, especially Constantinos Mavropanos, who bravely faced every ball after scoring the team's second goal. Hermansen added, "His heading ability is excellent, but I'm a little surprised he only scored two goals. I'm happy for him, everyone is happy for him, this point is very important for the team."  

"Aside from the good performance and the positive feeling it brings, we haven't changed any of our plans. We still have a long way to go to reach our goal, with eight more games to play. Therefore, we absolutely have no time to rest and must keep moving forward and keep working hard."
