Marseille announced on its official website on Wednesday that the club has bought out the rights of on-loan English winger Jonathan Rowe from Norwich City.
According to Marseille's official statement, Rowe has signed on a long-term five-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.
In addition, according to the news brought by the BBC, Marseille paid a total of £15 million to Norwich City to sign Rowe.
About Jonathan Rowe
Rowe, who is only 22 years old, was born in London, England on April 30, 2003. He is 1.73 meters tall and primarily plays as a left winger. He can also play as a right winger or attacking midfielder. He has dual British and Jamaican citizenship.
Rowe joined Norwich City's youth academy at the age of 11 and completed his Norwich City first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in December 2021.
During his three-year spell with the Canaries, Rowe was selected as the 2024 EFL Championship Young Player of the Year for his outstanding performances.
In August 2024, Rowe joined Marseille on-loan with an option to buy.
So far this season, Rowe has played 29 times for the Ligue 1 giants in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists.
