At the start of the game, the Pacers quickly established a double-digit lead. However, as their offensive efficiency declined, the Raptors began to pick up the pace and repeatedly attack the basket. Barrett seized the opportunity to score multiple points, leading his team on a 14-2 run to take the lead.

The second quarter saw a back-and-forth battle, with the lead changing hands multiple times. The Raptors then accelerated their offense and defense, capitalizing on Pacers turnovers to create transition opportunities and going on a 13-0 run to widen the gap. Despite Siakam's timely response, the Raptors finished the first half with a 62-53 lead.
