Adam Walton: The meaning of football is to go all out to win every game. We don't want to suffer consecutive defeats or draws.

Adam Walton was deeply disappointed when Crystal Palace failed to maintain their advantage against Everton, ultimately losing 2-1 on Merseyside. For much of the match, Crystal Palace had dominated and looked poised to end their long winless streak on Sunday. However, a crucial late goal from the opposition completely changed the game, bringing an end to Crystal Palace's 19-match unbeaten streak in all competitions.

After the game, Adam Walton said: "We are very aware that Everton is a strong team with several top players. When they play at home, they get the full support of the fans, which makes it difficult for the opponent to perform well."

"I thought we played very well in the first 60 or 70 minutes and basically controlled the game. We created a lot of chances and had the chance to win, but we didn't take them. I think that was partly our own fault, we were a little careless with the ball and maybe we were too relaxed at the time. The opponent gradually got back into form and the support of the home crowd made the game even more difficult."

"We made a few substitutions, but we can't blame Thursday's game for the loss, as this has been the norm for us throughout the season. There are still four tournaments to come, and we have to face a high-density schedule. We have three days of recovery time and 90 minutes of training time, so we must go all out to achieve good results. I think we can't blame the failure on the schedule. Such an excuse is disappointing."

Talking about the team's recent record, he said: "For me, the unbeaten record is not the most important thing. The essence of football is to pursue victory in every game. We don't want to lose or draw one game after another. Especially when I am on the court, I will not think about these records. The only focus is on how to win the game."

"Now that the dust has settled, it's probably not mentioned anymore. If some players feel the pressure is relieved, that's a good thing. However, we will prepare for the next game with the same focus and attitude."
