Amás scored his first career goal and received praise from manager Pedersen.

Despite Sheffield United remaining at the bottom of the Championship table on Wednesday, Harry Armas ignited a glimmer of hope in the team's slump with his first first-team goal of his career.

Last week, Sheffield United lost 1-3 to Southampton away on Wednesday. In the first half, 17-year-old Armas had a highlight moment. The Manchester United loanee full-back unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box, the ball flying into the top corner and beating Bazuno to score his first professional goal.

After the match, Sheffield Wednesday manager Henrik Pedersen highly praised Armas's growth. He pointed out that Armas was a completely different player when he first joined the team.

Pedersen said: "Harry when he arrived at Sheffield Wednesday and the player who left the pitch today are two completely different people, two different players. He came to the team with a lot of energy, but the Championship's three-day match schedule is very demanding."

"However, he kept playing. This week, against three strong teams—West Bromwich Albion, Norwich City, and Southampton—he proved that he can compete, fight, and even take the initiative at times."

"He's starting to understand himself better, his emotions are more stable, and he's physically stronger. He runs more, sprints more, pauses less during the game, and has a better grasp of the game's rhythm. Most importantly, he's eager to learn and continues to improve. He's a good kid and a good player, and we're so lucky to have him."

Although Sheffield United are still struggling on Wednesday, Armas's growth trajectory is gradually becoming a bright spot in the team's slump. For the young Manchester United academy left-back, this goal is not only an important milestone in his career, but also a key step towards a bigger stage.
