Angel Postecoglou urged his players to remain calm and draw strength from Nottingham Forest's performance in their return to European competition. Although Real Betis opened the scoring in the 15th minute, Igor Jesus quickly scored twice to put Nottingham Forest ahead. A strong first-half performance gave Nottingham Forest the opportunity to extend their lead.  

Spain scored the equalizer in the final four minutes of the match, securing a point on this historic night. Afterwards, Ange Postecoglu encouraged the players to draw strength from their recent performance, emphasizing that as long as they maintain this form, victory will eventually come.  

Angel Postecoglu said after the game: "I think we played very well in the first half. In fact, we should have secured the victory at that stage. In the second half, we let them control the ball more, but I felt that they did not cause any substantial danger. If we were more calm in the final handling, we could have scored a third goal. This is a true reflection of our current situation."  

"I never felt they were a real threat. Mats Sells barely had to save, and we handled the situation well. A third goal would have sealed the game."  

At halftime, Nottingham Forest looked poised to secure an early victory. Callum Hudson-Odoi's shot hit the woodwork, while Igor Jesus repeatedly came close to completing a hat-trick in just 30 minutes, putting the Real Betis defence under immense pressure.  

He added: "We performed very well in the first half. Our passes were very smooth and we created a lot of threatening opportunities. Not many teams can do that here. We can see a lot of positive things, but as a coach, I have to make sure the players stay focused and not be discouraged by temporary results. Although the victory is not yet in our grasp, I am very confident that it will belong to us in the end."
