After Saka scored a goal, Arsenal defeated Brighton 1-0 in the 29th round of the 2025/26 Premier League season, achieving a three-game winning streak. In an interview, Arteta praised the players for their strong desire to win and their fighting spirit in the game.

Timber passed the ball in the 9th minute of the first half, and Saka received it and curled a shot into the net, giving Arsenal a 1-0 lead.

Arsenal ultimately defeated Brighton 1-0 away from home. With their third consecutive win, Arsenal sit atop the table with 67 points, seven points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, having played one more game.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said, "I really liked the performance. It was a very tough game, and we knew it would be like this before the match. We've played a lot of games, and the intensity and demands of each one are very high. At times, you could see that the team lacked a bit of energy, especially in possession. We need to be calmer and slow down a bit so we can make better decisions and be more precise."

“So when you can’t do your best in these areas, you have to do better in other areas. Winning in this league, especially away from home like Brighton, is no easy feat, and the team has shown an incredible desire to win, determination, and attitude. Many players have faced some issues and haven’t trained fully, but they still insisted on playing, so I value everything they’ve done very much.”

It is worth mentioning that Saka, 24, reached the milestone of his 300th professional appearance for Arsenal, becoming the 52nd player in the club's history to achieve this record.

Arteta said, "This is a very important record for him. To have reached this number of appearances at his age, and to have delivered such an outstanding performance in these 300 games, is remarkable. So congratulations to him; it is an honor for us to have such a player."
