Chelsea welcomes 18-year-old Brazilian star Estevao Willian. The two sides reached an agreement as early as last year to transfer from Palmeiras. Now he has officially arrived at Cobham to start pre-season preparations for the 2025-26 season.
Since signing 14 months ago, Estebão has rapidly improved his performance in South America. He has established himself as a key player in Palmeiras' attack and made his Brazil senior debut last September. Since then, he has played in four South American World Cup qualifiers for his country, gaining valuable experience in the intense competition.
In this summer's Club World Cup, Esteban Esteban played for Palmeiras in the quarter-finals against Chelsea and scored a goal. Although he failed to prevent Chelsea from winning the Club World Cup, his performance was impressive.
Prior to joining Palmeiras, Esteban had made 83 appearances for the first team, demonstrating his extensive experience and consistent form. Following the Club World Cup, he, like his Chelsea teammates, took a short break and is now training at full strength.
On his first day at the club, Esteban said: "I'm very happy and proud to represent Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world. I want to help the team in the best way possible and give my all."
"I waited almost a year and a half to finally get here. During this time, I've been training hard to be in the best possible condition for this moment. Now, I'm very excited. This is a new stage in my life and I'm looking forward to everything going well."
Chelsea is also full of expectations for the young winger, believing that Esteban will bring speed, technology and creativity to the team's offense.
