Bulls re-sign Josh Giddy to multi-year contract

On September 10, the Chicago Bulls officially announced that the team has completed a contract extension with guard Josh Giddy. According to team policy, the contract details have not been disclosed, but it is reported that the two sides have signed a new four-year contract.
In the 2024-25 season, Giddy played in 70 games for the Bulls , averaging 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game, all personal bests. He joined Jordan as the only two players in team history to average at least 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists in a single season. His season totals totaled 1,022 points, 566 rebounds, and 503 assists, a feat matched only by LeBron James and Jokic.
In the final 30 games of the season, Giddy averaged 18.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 7.8 assists, shooting 49% from the field and 43.6% from three-point range . He also went on a 10-game streak from late February to late March, where he put up 220 points, 96 rebounds, and 100 assists. During the season, he also achieved the only 15- point, 10- rebound, 17- assist, and 8- steal performance in NBA history, and set a new Bulls guard record by grabbing 19 rebounds in a single game against the Trail Blazers .
To date, Giddy has accumulated 3,942 points, 2,100 rebounds, and 1,703 assists in his four-year career, becoming one of only eight players in history to achieve this feat in their first four seasons. As the sixth overall pick in the 2021 draft , he was named to the All-Rookie Second Team in his rookie season, received Rookie of the Month four times, and was selected to the Rising Stars Game twice. Giddy's growth and all-around performance have made him a crucial piece in the Bulls' future core.
