Valencia CF head coach Carlos Colberán held a post-match press conference after the team's loss to Real Oviedo.  

At the press conference, Carlos Colberán said: "We suffered because of our lack of aggression and intensity. It is impossible to win a game if you don't play to your full potential for 55 minutes. We fought for these three points out of hunger, not just because of the pressure of the relegation zone. We should have played better and it is very disappointing that we could not win. These three points mean a lot to us."  

“I take responsibility for everything that happened on the pitch. The team hasn’t shown the character, personality, and understanding of the game that we should have for some time, but things changed today. Valencia CF cannot afford to be complacent. We had a terrible game today and failed to perform to our usual standard.”  

“We must give our all to win every game and fight for three points. While we have the ambition, we should have finished the weekend with 35 points. We were not in good form today and did not show our usual desire, intensity and passion. We understand the fans’ disappointment because our performance in the first 55 minutes was below expectations, which is very disappointing. The intensity of the game was far from enough.”  

“I don’t think I need to play the ‘bad cop,’ and neither does anyone else. The pressure is shared by the whole team. We didn’t play up to the expected level. We made mistakes today and must avoid repeating them. From the intensity of the game to the organization, everything was unsatisfactory. Their possession made us very uncomfortable, and we failed to effectively close down spaces. Until the 55th minute, we couldn’t find a way to turn the tide. We need to do better; no one will be satisfied with this performance.”  

"Their performance was not surprising, the same as against Espanyol. However, putting aside Real Oviedo's performance, we ourselves failed to reach the level expected of us in this match."
