David Moller-Wolf is enjoying life in the Premier League and will make his first appearance for Wolves this week in an away game against Bournemouth. The defender, who joined from AZ Alkmaar this summer, has always dreamed of playing in the Premier League.
Last week, he finally made his dream debut against Manchester City. Despite the team's defeat, he remained energetic on the pitch. This week, he will travel with Wolves to the Vitality Stadium in an effort to turn the tide. With his familiarity with Premier League football, David Moller-Wolf knows the challenge will be tough against Bournemouth, but he's ready for it.
David Moller-Wolf said: "I am very familiar with Bournemouth's characteristics. They are physically tough, press fiercely, often create threats through crosses, and have many high-level players in the team. Especially last season, they showed strong competitiveness. This will be a very challenging match for us."
"One thing I always hear about in England is how close the fans are to the pitch. For me, that's a great feeling and I really enjoy it, so I'm looking forward to playing in this atmosphere."
Talking about the difficult opening match, David Moller-Wolf said: "Although the score was not 4-0, the opponent did play better and they deserved to win. However, some minor changes in the game could have made the result more favorable to us."
"We showed a lot of positives in the game, but the final defeat also exposed our shortcomings. They took advantage of opportunities in possession and pressing to punish us, but we failed to capitalize on their mistakes."
"Haaland and Bob are players I'm very familiar with in the national team, especially Oscar. We played side by side in the youth team. It feels special to be able to play against him directly on the court this time. We will definitely talk about this game when we train with the national team next month."
David Moller-Wolf said of the adaptation process: "The level of the Premier League is now higher and the pace of the game is faster than I am used to. In addition, I have not experienced too many pre-season games, either here or in the previous team. From the moment I signed, I knew that I would need time to adapt and get to know this team and my teammates. Fortunately, this is a very good team, from the staff to the players, I was able to integrate into it very quickly."
"I try to stay away from social media, whether it's positive or negative. But from what I've seen and from some of the messages I received on signing day, the fan response has been very positive and enthusiastic, which has been very nice for me."
He talked about his characteristics and said: "I have excellent running ability and ball control skills, and can pass very threatening crosses. I hope I can become a full-back who can help the team on both offense and defense. Wolves signed me to replace a good player like Rayan Ait-Nouri. This is a positive sign for me and makes me believe that the club has full trust in me."
"For me, Wolves has always been my first choice. When Wolves invited me, I wanted to come here immediately. The Premier League is very important in Norway. Almost all children who love football and grow up follow the Premier League. Being able to play football here is a dream come true for me."
"This is undoubtedly progress. As we all know, British culture is closely linked to the Premier League, and people's love for the league and the team is known all over the world. I was deeply impressed by the atmosphere during the first round against Manchester City, and this was only the first game of the new season. I can't wait to experience more moments like this."
