February 5th - The Cavaliers defeated the Clippers 124-91. Mitchell contributed 29 points, 5 rebounds , 9 assists, and 4 steals; Allen added 10 points and 11 rebounds; and Schroder had an impressive debut for the Cavaliers with 11 points, 6 assists, and 3 steals. For the Clippers, Leonard scored 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists in three quarters, and Collins added 19 points and 7 rebounds, but their overall offense lacked firepower.
The Cavaliers started the game with a 7-0 run. The Clippers stabilized thanks to Collins' consecutive scores, but the Cavaliers relied on Allen's strong inside attacks and Schroder's constant penetration of the defense, quickly pushing the lead to double digits. The Clippers' offense was inefficient, and the Cavaliers led 36-18 at the end of the first quarter . In the second quarter, Leonard scored consecutive points to help the Cavaliers narrow the gap. With a late-quarter surge, the Cavaliers widened the lead again. At halftime, the Cavaliers held a comfortable 62-42 lead.
After switching sides, the Clippers narrowed the gap to 46-62 in the third quarter. However, the Cavaliers maintained their composure on both offense and defense, with Mitchell contributing 13 points in the quarter to help stabilize the situation. At the end of the third quarter, the Cavaliers continued to extend their lead to 94-68 . In the final quarter, the Cavaliers widened the gap to 35 points. Although Brown contributed 10 points and hit two three-pointers in the quarter, the Clippers were unable to threaten the outcome of the game. Ultimately, the Cavaliers easily defeated the Clippers 124-91 .
