Dzekereish will miss the next round of Champions League matches.

The fourth round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League will feature a key match, with Premier League giants Arsenal traveling to Slavia Prague. Mikel Arteta stated in an interview that Stefan Dzekereš will miss the game due to some issues.

In the earlier Premier League Round 10 match, Arsenal defeated Burnley 2-0 away from home after goals from Dzekeresh and Rice, extending their winning streak to five games. However, Dzekeresh was unwell during the match and only played 45 minutes.

After three rounds of Champions League matches this season, Dzekeresh has contributed two goals for Arsenal, delivering an outstanding performance.

When asked about Dzekeresh's condition, Arsenal manager Arteta said, "He definitely won't be able to play. He didn't train today, and we need to do more tests and scans in the next few days to understand the extent of his injury. He definitely won't be able to play in this game."

“I’m very worried because he hasn’t had many muscle problems in the past, but this time he had to leave the field. He seemed to be having some issues, which is usually not a good sign, especially for a player with such explosive power. So we are conducting further examinations to determine the extent of the injury, and we will make an announcement once we have more information.”

Arteta also said, "He was disappointed after the game, but that's a problem in football. It's impossible to expect players to always develop in a positive direction."

"If he is really injured, he has to face the process, and we will help him deal with it. He is in very good condition and is very important to the team. But we will be without him in tomorrow's game, that's all."

On the other hand, Arsenal midfielder Martin Zuweimendi will also miss the match against Slavia Prague due to accumulating two yellow cards.

Arteta explained, "We know Martin Zubmendi also has two yellow cards, that's the rule at this stage. In some crucial matches, it's possible to be short of players. Of course, we'll try our best to avoid that, but it's part of the game."
