Estebao Willian has impressed Enzo Maresca, with the Chelsea manager hailing the rising Brazilian star as "very special". However, the 18-year-old's reputation is not solely based on his exceptional talent; his work ethic and humility are equally commendable.  

This summer, the youngster joined Chelsea from Brazilian giants Palmeiras. It's worth noting that he had previously scored for Palmeiras in their previous Club World Cup match against Chelsea. Esteban is now considered one of the most promising young players in world football.  

It was widely expected that Esteban Willian would need time to adjust to the Stamford Bridge environment, joining a new club in a foreign country and playing in a completely different football system. However, contrary to expectations, he provided an assist on his debut against West Ham United and scored his first goal in stoppage time, helping the team defeat Liverpool. He also scored his first Champions League goal on his debut against Ajax.  

However, Estevan Willian's impressive performances went far beyond goals. During the recent international break, the Brazil international netted twice against South Korea, and against the Netherlands, he also demonstrated his team's attacking dynamism and determination. Whether decisively driving off the ball or delivering steady passes from the wing and corners, Willian displayed exceptional maturity. He repeatedly made dangerous runs into the penalty area, and one late overhead kick narrowly missed the post.  

Enzo Maresca was impressed by Esteban Willian's impressive performance, but for the Chelsea manager, this was not unexpected. He said: "Coaches are often a little worried about young players because when they perform well in one or two games, or even score goals, they often mistakenly think they have reached the top level."  

"The best thing about Esteban Willian is that we don't have to worry about his attitude at all. He's humble, polite and always works hard. He also has an amazing family and they're very close to him. He's a truly special player for me, but thankfully, we don't have to worry about that."

Chelsea made Champions League history against Ajax, becoming the first team to have three different teenagers score in a single match.  

Marc Geu gave Chelsea the lead, calmly slotting home a header from Wesley Fofana. Esteban Willian then converted a penalty, earning a fine effort. Substitute Tyrick George sealed the victory with his fifth goal of the match late on.  

Speaking about the outstanding performance of the team's young players and the average age of the starting lineup, Enzo Maresca said: "I train with them every day and I know their abilities. Of course, we also go through some difficult moments. But their greatest strength is their thirst for knowledge and their desire to improve, which I think is very positive."
