Finn Azaz spoke about Southampton's growing confidence, which he believes was demonstrated in their 1-0 victory over Norwich City. While the win against a resurgent Norwich was hard-fought, Azaz noted that it highlighted the team's continued rise in confidence.

The player stated, "Yes, we must persevere. Although the process wasn't perfect, the team showed the necessary character and determination. We gave it our all, and these games, though tough, were the most worthwhile to win. The most important thing is to achieve victory, thereby maintaining and improving our momentum."

“They are obviously a strong team, that’s very clear. Although our performance wasn’t perfect, as I said, we persevered.”  

The midfielder emphasized that the team has made significant progress in the past few months and attributed this more resilient spirit to the combined efforts of his teammates and coaches.  

Finn Azaz said, "I think the team has maintained this atmosphere, and the head coach has obviously played a key role. He has brought us together and strengthened the team's atmosphere and belief. Now, we operate like a highly efficient machine."

“We did have some tactical arrangements, but I don’t want to reveal too much to the opponent. Obviously, Kyle Larin’s header was very accurate, but I knew what to do next; it was purely instinctive. As I said, it was all instinctive; I didn’t think much, and things just happened naturally.”

This victory propelled Southampton into the top six of the league, but Finn Azaz insists the team's goal is to continue climbing higher. He added, "Obviously, that's what we're aiming for, but to be honest, the mentality in the dressing room is focused on every game. We're looking at fifth place, we're looking at fourth, but the primary focus remains on the next game."
