The Milwaukee Bucks have been mired in a slump recently. After a crushing 102-122 defeat to a depleted Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, team leader Giannis Antetokounmpo bluntly pointed out the serious problems the team is currently facing: a lack of chemistry and a selfish playing style.

The Bucks have lost four of their last five games, all by large margins. Facing this predicament, Giannis Antetokounmpo bluntly stated that the team lacks cohesion. After the game, Antetokounmpo said, "We didn't play hard enough, and we didn't do the right things."

“Everyone played selfishly, looking for their own shot opportunities instead of finding reasonable shot opportunities for the team. Everyone wanted to go it alone. Sometimes, I felt that when we were down by 10 or 20 points, we tried to catch up in one possession, but that didn’t work.”

It's worth noting that the two-time MVP has taken fewer than 13 shots in each of his last four games. Antetokounmpo has expressed his bewilderment at this.

“I’m not the kind of person who yells at my teammates for the ball… but I think my former teammates understood the impact I could have on the team,” Antetokounmpo said helplessly. “Maybe it was because everyone felt it was their turn and wanted to carry the team on their shoulders to try to turn things around, but I really don’t understand.”

The Bucks currently sit in 11th place in the Eastern Conference with an 18-25 record. To avoid further decline in their ranking, Antetokounmpo has hinted that he may need to change his previously mild-mannered style.

Giannis Antetokounmpo referenced a black swan analogy: "They told me... you have to be a black swan, more aggressive, and proactive in getting the ball. That's something I've never done in my entire career. Maybe I need to try to do it more."
