Graham Potter is frustrated with his players but believes the team is still competitive

West Ham United manager Graham Potter felt bad for his players but believes the team can take some lessons from their defeat to Liverpool.

In this game, Liverpool showed their strength and dealt a heavy blow to West Ham United in the 89th minute, leaving them empty-handed. However, Graham Potter believes that the team still has positive aspects. Graham Potter said: "I am frustrated for the players because I know they gave everything. This is a great game, probably our best performance so far."

"We had a good balance between attack and defence throughout the game. Liverpool were very strong in attack and passed the ball very quickly, which was really difficult for us. I think the team gradually adapted to the game at the end of the first half and also created some chances, but they hit the crossbar."

"We played well in the second half, we created some chances and hit the crossbar again. Luckily we scored and then you feel like your hard work and quality are worth it. We showed the fighting spirit we should have in the game, but we didn't get anything."

"There are positives though, I think defensively we did a good job. Liverpool were very solid defensively and they had a quick transition but we handled it well.

"Although we have had a few half-time performances in recent months, I think we have always been competitive and the players have been united. From this game, we showed that we were as strong as ever."

“So we have to keep hanging on and focus on the positives to be in better shape for the next challenge. Next week is going to be a big game and we hope to get a perfect result. We know that no game in the Premier League is easy, so we have to stay positive and try to get the three points.”
