The new Premier League season is about to begin. Brighton played a warm-up match with Championship team Southampton at St. Mary's Stadium and ended in a 2-2 draw.

Despite failing to secure victory, Brighton head coach Fabian Hürzeler expressed his satisfaction with the team's current form after the game. "I'm very happy," Hürzeler said. "I think we showed good form today. Now it's just a matter of working on the details and getting physically ready for the Premier League."

Brighton scored twice in the game by young winger Jankuba Minter, who opened the scoring in the 25th minute and then scored again in the 64th minute, giving the team a two-goal lead.

Hürzeler praised the 21-year-old attacker: "He was very positive today. His goals were very calm and accurate. Of course, there is still room for improvement in his decision-making and handling of the final third, but he is still very young and only completed his first Premier League season last year. We hope that he can continue to grow, and he himself has such expectations."

In the 69th minute, Southampton launched a counterattack and successfully equalized the score. Hürzeller admitted that he was a little disappointed that he didn't win the game, but he still saw many positive signs: "We controlled the game for the majority of the time. It's a pity to lose in the end, but this game showed us many things that are worth affirming."

With the Premier League season fast approaching, Hürzeler stressed that the next two weeks will be a crucial period of physical preparation and fine-tuning. He believes Brighton are steadily progressing towards their ideal form.
