Jordan James was disappointed with his team's loss and the one-point result.

Jordan James believes his team created more dangerous chances in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Coventry City, but he remains optimistic about the future after making his home debut.

The player had two good chances at the King Power Stadium, only to be saved by visiting goalkeeper Carl Rushworth, while Stephen Mavididi and Julian Carranza, also making his home debut, also had a go at him.

That didn't mean Coventry were without a chance in a tense encounter, but Jordan James, on loan from Rennes, was still disappointed not to have come away with a victory.

After the game, Jordan James said: "We are a little disappointed with this point. We think we created more opportunities. I had one chance myself, and other teammates also had several."

"From the performance point of view, I think we played well. The team is still in the stage of laying the foundation. Therefore, we can occasionally see the rhythm and some tactical patterns in the game. But obviously, we are disappointed with only one point. Our goal is to win every game. This is the meaning of playing football."

"I should have scored in the second half. I'm quite experienced in scoring from behind the penalty area and have found the net many times in this way before. So I was very frustrated that I didn't take advantage of the opportunity this time. I practice this type of shot often in training, but I couldn't complete it in the end. I'm not sure why, maybe it was due to my physical condition. But I always demand a lot of attention from myself. The opportunity will come again, and I hope to score next week."

Despite being disappointed with just one point, Jordan James has turned his attention to this week's away trip to face in-form West Bromwich Albion, their next chance to grab some points against a side that have made a strong start to the season.

He added: "We should have won this game. If we had taken one of our chances, I don't think we would have conceded again. This was an extremely difficult derby. The games are always tense, but we have our eyes on the next one, which is the most important thing. We are enjoying ourselves on the pitch, the team is gelling, and I am very confident about the future."
