Chelsea missed out on a fifth consecutive Premier League win after a 2-2 draw with Leeds United. João Pedro said the team was unlucky that day. The night at Stamford Bridge was disappointing; Chelsea dominated early in the game, with the Brazilian striker chipping the ball over the onrushing Leeds United goalkeeper to open the scoring.  

In the second half, João Pedro won a penalty and assisted Cole Palmer to convert it, bringing the number 10's tally to four goals in two games. However, the away team then launched a counterattack and equalized. Although Chelsea had chances to seal the victory in the final stages of the match, the two sides ultimately drew 2-2.  

The 24-year-old stated that Chelsea played exceptionally well in the opening stages of the match and deserved the victory. However, he also admitted that the team lacked sufficient attacking power in the final stages to secure the win, and called on the entire team to maintain a more consistent performance in the upcoming matches.  

After the match, João Pedro said: "We are very disappointed because we played quite well in the early stages of the game. When we were leading 1-0 and 2-0, the team controlled the game, but in the end we were still scored by the opponent, which has happened many times this season."  

“We had chances to win the game under those circumstances. Both Cole Palmer and I had good scoring opportunities, but luck didn’t seem to be on our side today. We must be more focused and work hard to win. If we want to compete for Champions League qualification and finish in the top four, we can’t afford to drop points like this.”  

“I think we need to be more consistent and focused in the game and finish it off completely. However, the same thing happened again today. We must reflect on this and find out where we can improve.”  

João Pedro believes that the team could have taken a more decisive approach to avoid conceding a goal, especially at the moment Leeds United equalized. He stated, "We need to clear the ball more quickly. If we delay too long and let too many players gather around the ball, problems easily arise. Although the overall performance was good today, we must be more focused and not concede goals in this way again."  

In terms of individual performance, João Pedro scored his sixth goal in eight games and won his third penalty in two matches. The striker expressed satisfaction with this, but firmly believes he still has room for improvement. He said, "I work hard to improve every day in training and am now showing my ability in matches, but I know I still have many areas to improve."
