Kiana Hoever says he has felt reborn under the coaching of Vitor Pereira and is fully committed to the Wolves boss's pre-season preparations.  

Since making his debut for Wolves in March 2022, the Dutch defender has been loaned out to PSV Eindhoven, Stoke City and Auxerre, accumulating nearly 100 matches. He is now back in pre-season training under the guidance of Vitor Pereira.  

The 23-year-old has been actively involved in pre-season preparations this summer, providing an assist against Burnley last weekend and playing at right-back and then right centre-back against Stoke City. He is fully committed to seizing this opportunity to return to the first team.  

Kiana Hofer said: "We have been doing a lot of leg training recently, which is a tough test for every player. Considering that we are in the pre-season preparation stage, we need to make sure our bodies are in ideal condition."  

"The team went to Portugal for training and we felt good overall. Although we have played two warm-up matches there, this was our first test in a stadium with spectators and our overall performance was quite satisfactory."  

"So far, I've really enjoyed every moment with the team. Being able to train and play with my teammates means a lot to me. I maintain a positive attitude and a good mental state, and give my all every time I play. This is all I can do."

When Kiana Hofer talked about his position, he said: "I think I am more of a full-back, and I believe the coach has noticed this. But at halftime, he communicated with me and hoped that I could play as a right center back. Considering the team's style of play, I think I can fully play this role, which is not a problem for me."  

“This is quite similar to my experience in the five-a-side team last season, so it doesn’t feel unfamiliar to me. Although the level of competition has obviously increased, I have gradually adapted to the pace of the Premier League. I feel comfortable in the right-back position and I believe I can make a real contribution to the team.”
