Kuminga diagnosed with kneecap contusion, sidelined indefinitely.

The Golden State Warriors officially released an injury report ahead of Sunday's away game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, announcing that forward Jonathan Cuminga will miss the game again due to a knee hyperextension and bone contusion.

According to the Warriors, Cuminga was injured during Thursday's road game against the Dallas Mavericks. He was forced to leave the game early with 3 minutes and 52 seconds remaining in the second quarter due to knee discomfort.

An MRI performed on Friday confirmed that his knee had suffered a bone contusion due to hyperextension. The Warriors have not yet provided a specific recovery timeline, only stating that a follow-up examination date will be determined in the coming days, and he will be unable to play in the meantime.

This injury couldn't have come at a worse time for the fifth-year forward and the Warriors. Previously, with Jimmy Butler sidelined for the season with a serious knee injury, Cuminga had just been called back into the core rotation to fill the void at the forward position. However, he has been sidelined again shortly after his return.

Besides Cuminga, several other key Warriors players are also on the injury management list. Star player Stephen Curry experienced right knee soreness on Saturday, and although his participation was initially questionable, he insisted on playing against the Timberwolves after passing pre-game warm-up tests.

In addition, veterans Al Horford (left toe injury management) and D'Antoni Melton (left knee injury management) both played in the game against the Timberwolves. The coaching staff plans to rest them in Monday's rematch to protect the health of veterans and injured players.
