Lewis Cook admitted that Bournemouth were disappointed after conceding a late equalizer in their 1-1 draw with Burnley. However, he stressed that the team remains united and confident of improving their ranking.  

Antoine Semenio's brilliant curling shot midway through the second half nearly sealed three points for Bournemouth. However, Armando Broya's header in the final stages of the game leveled the score, costing Bournemouth their first victory in eight matches.  

After the match, captain Lewis Cook said in an interview that the outcome of a Premier League game often hinges on the smallest margins. He pointed out, "That's the Premier League; if you don't stay focused, you'll be punished. Set pieces are crucial in the game, and we must improve in that area."  

"Overall, it was a decent game; I think we played fairly well. Our opponents were very good at controlling the tempo of the game, and we were never able to find a stable attacking rhythm. However, we still created some chances. Antoine's goal was brilliant, but unfortunately we couldn't maintain our lead."  

Burnley's equalizer stemmed from a belated cross, a situation Lewis Cook believed could have been prevented earlier in the attack. He stated, "It was really difficult. We have a great team, and the players give their all every day. But that's football; sometimes things don't go exactly as you want them to."  

“That cross and header were indeed brilliant, but we must defend from the source and stop the ball even before it reaches the corner flag.”  

Despite Bournemouth's continued losing streak, Lewis Cook stated that the team's overall performance remains positive. He pointed out that opponents often come to Vitality Stadium with clear tactics, attempting to disrupt the rhythm of the game.  

He said, "Many teams come here hoping to do this, but it's not easy. We created a lot of chances in some games, but not so many in others. Today, we had a strong ability to capitalize on our chances, but unfortunately we failed to convert them into goals."  

The captain stated that Bournemouth had an excellent start to the season and hinted that the current losing streak could pose a significant test to the team's willpower. He continued, "The team is in good form and has had a fantastic start to the season. Although some may think we are already far ahead, we may need a winning streak to regroup. We hope to win this game and get back to the top of the table; this league shows a high level of competitiveness every week."
