Liam Rossinier was proud of the players' willingness to try and execute the tactics and strategies he had laid out during the game.

Liam Rossellini expressed pride in the courage shown by Chelsea players in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final against Arsenal and believes the team can learn positives from their narrow defeat at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea took the lead in the 7th minute with a header from Ben White. Early in the second half, Victor Dzekeresh extended the visitors' lead to two goals with a close-range finish.

However, Liam Rossenier's team responded quickly, with substitute Alejandro Ganacho equalizing for Chelsea. Arsenal's Martin Zubimendy then scored a third goal, but Alejandro Ganacho added another late in the game, keeping the second leg at the Emirates Stadium in early February still suspenseful.

This match marked Liam Rossellini's first game in charge at Stamford Bridge since being appointed Chelsea manager last week. Despite his disappointment with the result, the 41-year-old coach emphasized that the team had shown clear signs of improvement in just six days under his leadership.

Liam Rossene said: "I am proud of the players' willingness to try to execute the tactics and strategies I asked for in the games. I have only been in charge of the team for six days and we have already played two games. I am not looking for time because I believe the team is capable of winning now, but I also need to leave my mark on the team, otherwise there would be no point in me staying here."

“I want the team to play at a high tempo, take the initiative, and control and dominate the game. Today we created opportunities through counter-attacks, and also posed threats through organized attacks and possession. For a defensively strong team, this performance is very encouraging.”

“I saw a lot of encouraging things today. While I don’t want to lose any games, I was able to show the players a lot of areas where they can still improve, as far as Saturday’s game is concerned.”
