The second round of the 2025/26 French Ligue 1 season was staged. Paris Saint-Germain, playing at the Parc des Princes, defeated Angers 1-0 after Fabian Ruiz scored.

In the 12th minute, Angers created an attacking opportunity. Arcos passed the ball from the right into the penalty area, and Siddiqui Sharif volleyed the ball, but the ball went directly over the goal. In the 16th minute, Paris Saint-Germain defender Ashraf passed the ball to Douai, who stepped forward and shot against the defense, but the ball was saved by Angers's Kofi.

In the 25th minute, João Neves was knocked down by an Angers defender while trying to get the ball, prompting the referee to award a penalty to Paris Saint-Germain. Dembélé then took the penalty but the ball went high. In the 33rd minute, Paris Saint-Germain were on the attack when Douai received a pass from Fabian Ruiz from the top of the penalty area and fired a shot that went over the bar.

In the first half stoppage time, Paris Saint-Germain got a free kick, but after Vitinha took the penalty, the ball was intercepted by Angers player Kofi.

In the 50th minute of the second half, Douai's cross from the penalty area was cleared, and then Fabian Ruiz shot directly into the goal, helping Paris Saint-Germain take the lead 1-0. In the 58th minute, Nuno Mendes took a corner kick, and Joao Neves headed the ball but it went wide.

In the 66th minute, Paris Saint-Germain made a pass, and Barcola received the ball and shot from the top of the penalty area, but the ball went directly over the goal. In the 74th minute, Dembélé passed the ball from the top of the penalty area, and Gonzalo Ramos took a few steps to adjust his shot, but the ball was caught by Angers' Kofi.

In the 80th minute, Vitinha sent a through ball, Nuno Mendes broke into the penalty area and shot, but Angers' favorite Kofi immediately flew to block the ball. In the 86th minute, Fabian Ruiz received a pass from Ashraf near the top of the penalty area and shot, but the ball went wide of the post.

In the end, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Angers 1-0 at home and achieved two consecutive victories.
